Bristol Township - Firefighters contained a Bristol Township
house fire to one bedroom Saturday morning, but officials are still
trying to track down one of the residents who lived at the group
home on Kindle Lane, according to Bristol Township Fire Marshal
Kevin Dippolito.
Dippolito said three people lived at the home in the Kenwood
section of the township and added that the home sustained heavy
smoke and fire damage.
The fire broke out in a second-story bedroom and the male tenant
who lived there was in the room with a woman when the fire started,
officials said. The man suffered first-degree burns to the face, but
fled the scene before he was interviewed, according to the fire
marshal.
"We have no idea where he is," Dippolito said.
"The company is trying to locate him."
Authorities tried to track the man down by calling local
hospitals, but Dippolito said no one fitting the man's description
or injuries was treated in the area.
The home is owned by Northwestern Human Services of Bucks County,
he said, and a representative with the social services agency is
working to locate the burn victim and find the homeless residents a
new place to live.
Edgely, Fairless Hills, Tullytown and Levittown No. 2 fire
companies responded to the call just after 11 a.m. Dippolito said
the fire is still under investigation. He wouldn't say if the blaze
was suspicious.
"Until I talk to him, I can't label it one way or
another," he said of the burn victim.
